When is laser treatment appropriate?

The LUÑA Ray system uses IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology with 480 nm (for acne) and 530 nm (for rosacea) filters, which selectively penetrate the skin and affect:
- acne-causing bacteria (Cutibacterium acnes)
- inflammatory processes in the skin
- overproduction of sebum
- dilated capillaries and redness in rosacea

How many procedures are needed?

Recommended course:
- Acne: 5–7 treatments every 3 weeks
- Rosacea: 4–6 treatments every 3–4 weeks
Redness and inflammation often decrease after the first few sessions.

How does the procedure work?

- The skin is cleansed and a transparent gel is applied.
- IPL treatment with a filter is performed according to the indication.
- In rosacea, the area is treated with single shots, without overlapping.
- The procedure is painless and requires no recovery.

Post-procedure care:

- Use of photoprotection (SPF 50+)
- Avoid heat, saunas and intense sweating for up to 48 hours.
- Using light hydration with aloe vera or antioxidants
- No use of retinoids and acids 3 days before and after the procedure

Contraindications:

- Active skin infection (herpes, folliculitis)
- Tendency to keloids
- Taking light-sensitive medications
- Recent exposure to the sun or tanning bed
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding

IPL laser therapy with LUÑA Ray is a safe, gentle and proven effective method for treating acne and rosacea, which can be an excellent stand-alone or complementary tool to other dermatological approaches.
